Rock-face Path
The Rock-face Path reopenes on 6. April 2012.
A traditional, some might say mythical, mountain trail, the Rock-face Path was constructed between 1900 and 1905.
With May’s violets and woodruff inviting closer inspection on the edge of the precipice, the path’s balustrade provides reassurance. Visitors wishing to hurry on can take the steps. Comfortable benches offer innumerable magical views, perfect for letting the beauty of the panorama sink in. The villages and meadows you see from the 2.6 km path date back to Switzerland’s founding in 1291 and beyond.
