The Sharq is located in a self-contained building opposite the Taverne right next to the Bürgenstock and Palace Hotel. This is where Sophia Loren once lived in the former Villa Daniel.

The food was outstanding. I know these dishes from my travels in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, the Arab Emirates... the best hummus and labneh in Switzerland!

I can only recommend the vegetarian mezze platter. We could order flexibly and add dishes as we liked and were very impressed by the freshness of the well-judged seasoning. Outstanding falafel, hummus, pomegranate and tomato purée and lots more.
